Desktop (or nightstand :-) cube

I decided to make my hubby a cute desktop cube to put on his nightstand.  It turned out cute in his favorite Jeep fabric (Riley Blake). I think I’ll end up making the other sizes to go along with it. He’s using it to keep his deodorant and cologne it and it works perfect, no more knocking them off then having to look under the bed for them!

This pattern is part of Sew Sweetness’ minikins collection. I’m slowly working my way through each pattern and am loving it.

Simple but fun sewing project

My husband and I exchanged anniversary gifts a few weeks ago (early) but I wanted to give him something on our anniversary, so I made him a very simple wallet with some Riley Blake Jeep fabric I had in my stash since he loves ALL things Jeep.

This tutorial was featured in Made Everyday with Dana’s new look book for her new fabric line Day Trip, which I love and certainly will have to buy some of.  As soon as I drooled over the look book I immediately saved the link to this cute tutorial by Alissa Jacobs which can be found here http://quiltish.blogspot.com/2010/05/tutorial-fathers-day-mens-wallet.html

So when you get a chance, take a look at Dana’s look book https://issuu.com/artgalleryfab/docs/day_trip_by_dana_willard .  You too will fall in LOVE with the fabric.  Also stop by her site, http://www.madeeveryday.com/ she has some great patterns and tutorials.  I have purchased a few and love them!
