My family and I are active each year in a Relay for Life in honor of those we love who have been lost or had to deal with cancer. My wonderful first husband and father of my 4 blessings was lost to colon cancer in 2013. This year I decided to make some Bellevue Pouches for the silent auction and to sell at our team table. I did 3 colors, purple is the color of Relay, pink for Breast cancer and blue for colon cancer. I added an embroidered ribbon to match.

Sewing Swap!
I am participating in my first sewing swap. This was set up via Instagram using a set of patterns called Minikins designed by Sara over at www.sewsweetness.com. There are a lot of patterns and you can choose anyone you want. I decided to do the desktop cube (small and medium). I’m also adding a cute little eyeglass case I recently sewed as part of the Sew Sweetness cork club. I’m a little obsessed right now!

My first post!
Hello. Years ago I had a craft blog, mostly about card making and scrapbooking but I thought I’d do a new one to “start over”.
I started sewing about a year ago and have just fell in love with it. I still love paper crafting but do find it hard to find time but hope to work on some scrapbooks this year.
My most recent sewing project is a gift for my best friend for her birthday. She loved cows when we were growing up and I thought this fabric was so cute that I found at Joann Fabrics so I couldn’t pass it up! The pattern is from Sara at www.sewsweetness.com. It is part of her minikins bundle and it is the cotton candy pouch. I love the pattern and plan to make more of this pattern.
